Best of Beauty 2017 - Yearly Favourites

Hello beauties, sorry I haven't posted sooner this year has just been absoutley fantastic already and I have honestly just been so busy - I've started a new job this year following my recent promotion and just got back from the most insane weekend every in London. But I am back with lot's of new content and my next post will be sharing my skincare journey with you all. So keep your eyes pealed for that post!

Category 1: Foundation & Concealer

This year I have tried quite a few foundations, for the majority of the year I used the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation but it wasn't something I LOVED - if you know what I mean? It was kind of a product that I just kept repeatedly buying when I needed a top up, but it did feel heavy on my skin and I never had clear skin - but the coverage was very good - but I guess that comes with negative aspects of it clogging up my skin. I then later changed to the NU Skin Advanced Liquid Finish foundation that gave off a good medium, but buildable coverage allowing me to achieve my desired look whether that was running errands and going to work, or needing ultra full glam for weekends and events, I loved how my skin felt like it could breathe with this foundation, and it looked very natural. This has now become a firm favourite of mine, and I'm keen to try out their tinted moisturizer for more everyday wear.

My concealer favourite is still the same as my 2016 beauty favourites - the collection 2000 lasting concealer. For the price you just can't knock it!! It provides great coverage and is perfect to cover up those blemishes or to conceal and highlight underneath your eyes. I love how easy it blends and how flawless it makes your skin look.

Category 2: Bronzer / Contour & Highlighter

I really can't even remember how many new bronzers I've tried this year, and all were from the drugstore! I have repurchased the collection 2000 natural bronzer several times and I like how it gives a natural glow to your skin. I have my eye on some new bronzing pearls which I will be buying soon and I'll give you all my review of that soon. To be honest - I haven't been wearing much highlighter recently, but I do still really like the MAC soft and gentle highlighter.

Category 3: Eyes - Eyeshadow, Primers and Mascara

I have checked back onto my post this time last year to see if my product favourites have changed, and not surprisngly I still have the favourite eyeshadow primer and eyeshadow palette - both from Urban Decay.. they are lovely! I still absoutley love smokey eyes - it's my favourite make-up look to create, so I am still using my Naked 2 palette daily - I promise to try out more eyeshadows in 2018 so I can do some reviews for you all... any recommendations let me know. I still believe the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion in original is the best I've used - I have recently run out and my eyeshadow does not show the true pigmentation - so I definetly need to order that again.

I have changed my mascara though, woo! a new favourite. I have been using the lash and curl mascara from NU Skin - it is a curling mascara which really holds the curl and adds so much length and volume - I hardly ever wear false lashes anymore and I never get eyelash extensions as I have been using from the same brand their nutriol eyelash treatment that has been growing my lashes more and they are so much stronger now - it always doubles up as an eyebrow gel to hold them in place. I absoutley love this duo - my lash and brow combination is amazing. I won't ever change now, sorry guys!!

Category 5: Make-Up Brushes

I have tried out the Revolution make-up brushes recently this year - which I did like however the handles of the brushes started to go wobbly so although they allow me to blend make-up well, they aren't very stable - I did manage to get them for under £10 in the sale after Christmas though. My favourite brushes at the moment are from NU Skin, they are incredible quality and a great value for money - there is a brush for everything you need and they are so handy for your make-up bag with the little pouches they come in.
