My Summer Beauty Essentials

Hello beauties, I have been sorting through my make-up bag as I do every season - who doesn't enjoy changing out their wardrobe and beauty products to adapt to the weather changes! Summer is my favourite time of the year as it has so many perks - hot weather, holidays, longer evenings and so on. Although, Summer can prove more challenging when it comes to doing your make-up as you need products which won't melt off your skin in the heat and that are light-weight so it doesn't feel heavy on your skin. I'll be sharing my favourite Summer beauty products with you all in today's post and I'd love to know yours too.

L'Oreal Hydra Genius Liquid Care Combination Moisturiser | RRP £6.66
Let's talk prep products first. L'Oreal have been launching amazing products and ranges for a very long time now, and all that I've tried I have rated highly, so when I read some reviews on the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Moisturiser being the must-have Summer product this year, I had to head straight to Boots to pick it up, and luckily it was on offer - from £9.99 to £6.66 and still is! (we all love a bargain!)  I have been using this moisturiser for over a month now, and I absolutely love it, it is super hydrating and leaves your skin looking glowy, claiming to lock in moisture for 72 hours, refreshes the skin and absorbs into the skin instantly with it's water-like texture (because, let's face it... nobody want's to wait 5 minutes between applying their moisturiser before putting the rest of their make-up on if they are in a hurry!)

I love dewy-glowing skin, but especially in the Summer - that glow gotta be poppin' right?!This product is again another recommendation which I've discovered from watching Youtube beauty videos. This luminous product adds a glow to your skin, I apply this before foundation and managed to find this in a B&M Bargains store for only £2.99! the link I've attached is of the nearest product I could find in the range. Perfect for adding that extra glow into your everyday make-up routine this Summer, and a much lighter-weight alternative than foundation - also contains SPF which is a must in hotter weather, I tend to lean towards a foundation/tinted moisturiser with SPF all year round anyway.

Avon True Nutraeffects Tinted Moisturiser | RRP £6
I'm sure this product is coming with no surprise being featured in this post, as it's made it's way into several favourites before. However, I just cannot get enough. I love tinted moisturisers for the Summer, or just on days I want a 'your skin but better look.' This is my holy-grail face product for Summer and I have stocked up on quite a few - as they are currently on sale for £3! The beauty of this product is that it matches your natural skin tone, leaving your skin looking radiant and glowing and makes you feel put together in seconds! Light-weight with a good coverage - what more could you want?

A primer is an absolute must-have all year round to keep your make-up in place all day, but you can really put it to the test with the hotter weather, I am obsessed with this primer from Benefit - it ensures my make-up lasts all day long. It's quite expensive, and there are a lot of cheaper primers which work very well - I'd opt for NYX on a budget, but for days when you really want to wear your best make-up then, this is a go to primer that I reach for. I'd love to know what your favourite primers out there are, I don't usually experiment with primers too much as they last a long time I get into the habit of using the same one everyday until it runs out.

MAC Mineralised Skin finish Highlighter in Soft and Gentle | RRP £24.50
Adding to my obsession of loving glowing skin in the Summer, MAC's soft and gentle highlighter is a gilded peach bronzed highlighter that adds so much shimmer and glowiness to your skin. I also love the liquid highlighters from Benefit - high beam and for a cheaper alternative, I love the Revolution strobe highlighter in ever glow lights.

OG Original Girl Bronzer | RRP £1.99
I'm unfortunately unable to find a link to this, I was shopping in an Outlet centre about a month ago, and saw this brand where all products were super inexpensive, so I thought as I needed a new bronzer why not spend £1.99 and try it, if it's good great! if not, no worries. This bronzer has good pigmentation, and is such a lovely natural bronzed shade, perfect for bronzing up your skin

Eyebrows can make or break a make-up look, and using one of the best-selling brow palettes is helping me improve my brow game, I purchased this palette for £9.99 from an outlet store, and I'm featuring it as an essential for Summer, as it has a wax included in the palette which locks your brow hairs in place and they don't budge - despite the weather! Whereas, usual brow products/pencils aren't best for the Summer, unless we apply a clear mascara, brow gel or wax over.

This lipstick will always be my favourite, as it's what I wore on my prom evening. I always tend to reach for this one in the Summer as it's a lovely natural pink that compliments any make-up look you're wearing. I also like using tinted lip balms and lip crayons in the Summer.

Long, lengthening, volumising lashes are what I LOVE in the Summer, and usually when I go on holiday I'll get a full set of individual lashes done beforehand, so I don't have to mess around with applying make-up, but when I do wear mascara - I'll always use this sample which I got in a BirchBox, I'm ordering a full size too as I love it so much. I also still wear false lashes in the Summer but more so in the evenings.

Although I use a setting spray for occasions when I don't want my make-up to budge, this becomes an must stage in my routine as without it, well let's face it our make-up would slide off half way through the day! Again, there are cheaper alternatives I've heard some good reviews of the Revolution setting sprays if you don't want to purchase a high-end one.

What are your must have beauty products this Summer?
