Make-Up Tutorial | Summer Festival Inspired Look FT. On The Glow Glitters

Hi beauties, I was recently contacted on Instagram by a company called on the glow glitters; they sell glitter pigments which are super versatile and can be used on the face, in your hair or on your body and they asked if I'd like to try one out, of course I said yes as I've never tried anything like this before and it would be fun to create a Summer Festival vibe make-up look for you all. So, let's get into it!

I started off with my base make-up, which I know girls you may be thinking "that's backwards, you always do your eyes first" which is so true, I usually do, however when you're using glitters and pigments it can be tricky to keep the make-up looking neat. I applied a pea sized amount of my Benefit POREfessional Primer to fill in any pores and imperfections and to act as a solid base to apply make-up to. I used my favourite foundation at the moment, you guessed it! Estee Lauder double wear - since switching from my MAC foundation to this I have had an unbelievable amount of compliments on how flawless my skin looks and it doesn't feel cakey, despite providing a full coverage finish and the name being DOUBLE wear!

I have been obsessing over my recent find in an Outlet centre which is the Technic Colour Fix concealer palette, a palette of creamy concealers with a variety of shades perfect for adding highlight underneath the eyes to make you look more awake and using the darker shades to flawlessly cover any blemishes. As you can tell from the photo's the base products I've used provide a full coverage finish.

I then applied my OG Original Girl bronzer and contoured with it, followed by applying one of my favourite drugstore highlighters which is the Revolution strobe highlighter, it adds such a gorgeous glow to your skin - and I'm sure every girl can admit they love to have highlighter that slays!

Before I went glitter crazy with this festival look, I used my HD Brow palette in the shade foxy to fill in my brows and carved them out with my concealer to make them look more defined and neat. I used my eye primer to ensure all of the eyeshadows will stay in place before reaching for two palettes to create this look. I started out with the revolution palette, and used the shimmery pink shade to apply across my eyelids and dark purple to apply in the crease to give a smokey eye effect. I also used my glitter liner in the shade bronze to go over the top of my eyeshadow on my eyelid to ensure my eyes sparkled and looked very glittery and glam! From the Sleek palette I used a shimmery pink to intensify the look. Now, is a look ever really complete without lashes? No? I agree! I haven't brought an expensive pair of lashes in abut 6 months as I swear by the £1 Primark lashes my favourite ones, which are featured in this look are in the style sultry! I applied my Maybelline Push-Up Angel mascara to my bottom lashes to separate and lengthen them,
Now, here's where the fun starts!! I started by applying some of my eyelash glue underneath my eyes (not touching my eyes!) and then dipped the stick from the glue into the pot of glitter pigments and applied this underneath my eyes and neatly applied single larger pieces of the glitter above my brows. I absolutely loved the glitter, mine is in the shade ice queen blue which is breathtakingly beautiful. I honestly love the colours and the detail of this glitter as the glitter is in lot's of different sizes and reflect so incredibly well with the light. As my boyfriend would describe "your make-up looks like a mermaid" and I must admit, it kinda' does and it's so on trend for Summer right now especially for parties and festivals.
I applied my NYX Lipliner in the shade nude beige, and felt it needed spicing up a little to match this look, so I used some of my glitter liner in the shade bronze and applied a small amount of this to the centre of my lips! And... well, the glitter bombshell didn't stop there as I applied the On The Glow Glitters pigment to my collarbones and I felt this really completed the look and with a super cute festival outfit on you would be ready to go!
