Happy Friday everyone, what are your plans for the weekend?
 
I had a half day today so finished at half 12, and managed to enjoy the sunshine, I popped into MAC and spent some time with one of their make-up artists learning more about the best way to style my brows and to discover new products.. I'll talk more about that in a moment.


I wanted to do another make-up tutorial for you all, and help out some of the girls who have private messaged me learn how to contour and highlight. Let's get started!

 I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday, spoiling the most important women in your life. My Mum had a lovely day as she had all her children and grandchildren around, we had our first BBQ of 2017! We played games in the garden, such as football, and all had lot's of fun including giving my Mum a tonne of gifts (they deserved to be spoiled every once in a while don't they!)

 

 

 

NEW Hair | Hair Update

Hiya everyone,

I have another blog post for you all - everything HAIR related - yay! One of my favourite ways of
pampering myself, going into the salon to see my beautiful hairdresser Calley and get my princess hair back.

I spent over 3 hours in the salon getting my hair done today, and as I sat down in the chair, where the magic happens, I spoke to Calley about taking some before and after pictures so I could share it with you all on my blog, and of course she was more than happy to do this.

 

What I Got For My Birthday | March 2017

Hello beauties,

It was my birthday on Sunday, 12th March 2017 and I thought it would be nice to share with you all of the lovely gifs I received. These posts such as Birthday hauls and Christmas hauls are some of my favourites, I think this is mainly because I love being nosey and getting gift ideas. Do you like these posts too? I love reading and seeing the photo's of the presents as well as the YouTube video versions.

If you don't know already I have finally left my teens - and have turned 20! (Eek, I know what you're all thinking and saying.. 'half way to 40', but let's ignore that topic) I had a lovely day - I booked the Friday and Monday off of work so had a lovely long weekend celebrating with my family and my boyfriend.

 

Review: March's BirchBox

It's BirchBox time! I received my March BirchBox in the post today, after a long anticipated wait it has finally arrived! I think what happens is, I get the e-mail to confirm my BirchBox has been personalised and put together and I literally stare at my phone and delivery tracker right until the day it comes through the door!

 

Review: MAC Cosmetics Lipstick Collection

 
Today I wanted to show you all an insight to my make-up collection and wanted to start with one of favourite brand which is MAC Cosmetics.

 

                            

I currently have 6 MAC lipsticks in my collection (slowly but surely growing!) in which I have only ever brought one! Some have been gifted to me, but the majority of these lipsticks I have been thankful enough to the BAC-2-MAC scheme to recieve these for free, with a trade in of 6 empty MAC products. I have a post which goes into the scheme if you'd like more information - as you may have been throwing away your finished products without getting your end of the deal.

   I have tried lots of different brands for lipsticks, and MAC has stood out as one of my faves. The lipsticks are scented Vanilla, which I really like, it may not please everyone, but when you open the lipstick you can smell the product, however this scent is not overpowering in any means. The lasting power is very good and MAC has a very wide colour range different finishes of lipsticks to tailor your needs. The stand when you go into a MAC counter is incredible - you can swatch the lipsticks and try them on too! (WARNING - you may be in there for a long time if you do this - I usually spend no less than half an hour in the store, and that's a good day!)

 

First Impressions: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation

Today I popped into Camp Hopson following my friend, Lisa telling me they were selling a set of Clinique Chubby Sticks for £20 unfortunately when I went in they had all sold out. So, I thought let's take advantage of the Clinique free 10 day sample of their Beyond Perfecting Foundation.

This foundation retails at £25 and has very good coverage as you can see from the photo's below, the benefits of this foundation is the fact that it is a foundation and concealer in one. This foundation gives a very natural overall finish which is very long lasting.

This foundation is also very moisturising and there is a wide range of colour shades to choose from - My shade was colour matched by one of the lovely counter girls and she matched me as shade 2, which I think is a good match for me. The foundation blended effortlessly and has provided a very full coverage - I completely agree with what it states.
 

 

Review: Trip to Amsterdam

I was thinking about doing some Holiday post's on my blog, and wanted to start with my trip to Amsterdam in October, 2015. This was my first holiday abroad with my boyfriend and was so amazing to visit the beautiful City of Amsterdam.

 

Firstly we started by heading down to a local Travel Agents to find the perfect hotel for our City Break and when we came across Die Port Van Cleve hotel we looked no further, we booked a room and looked through all the photographs and was ready to head away in just a few weeks time, the hotel was perfect, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious, the room had a warm and homely feel and we loved every second of our time exploring the City. The hotel was very spacious in size, the lifts and hallways reminded me of my favourite childhood programme Suite Life of Zac and Cody (My boyfriend agrees too). The reviews we read about the hotel made our decision more definite and easier, everything about our trip from the 40 minute flight to the trams to the hotel was so simple and easy - I was slightly nervous about the travel, however Tom took it all in his stride and got us where we needed to be. I enjoyed and smiled every single millisecond of our trip and cannot wait to go back this year. This city has a special place in our hearts as our first proper holiday so we aim to go every year - few years now.

 

How beautiful was our hotel? In  the evening, we'd often sit outside as we had a bar included in the hotel and admire the views, it was so, so beautiful and right on Dam Square, it is still to this date the best hotel I've ever stayed at.
